I have struggled to find an image that will reach round the news as I prepare our prayer this week. To Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Palestine, and the otherconflicts I’m not able to recall, must be added India and Pakistan. We pray for Syria and that the Kurdish people may come to lasting nationhood. We pray for peacemakers and peacekeepers; with Pope Leo for journalists and for freedom of speech. And all who for the sake of truth and justice are disturbers of the peace where there is no peace.
